Folly Squirrell

Plain folly in the courtyard:
A critter of black fur
Attempts to blow into a guqin.

The great Chinese poet and philosopher Wan Dao (283 - 364) have never penned those lines, yet it is clear, that they refer to the Folly Squirrels.
The role of Folly Squirrels in culture and daily life under Heaven is hard to exaggerate - it was entirely tosh.
